Joining the Colac Rifle Club

Application Process

To become a member of the Colac Rifle Club, potential members must go through the following process:

1) Attend three “come and try” appointments

2) Submit a membership application to the committee and pay fees. 

3) Recieve membership approval from the Colac Rifle Club Incorporated committee

Each step is outlined in further detail below.

Come and Try Appointments 

Prior to becoming a member of the Colac Rifle Club, potential members are required to attend three “come and try” shoots at the club prior to completing a membership application.

The three appointments are in place to assess the suitability of the member and to ensure that they are compatible with the membership and the clubs culture.

The Colac Rifle Club is an inclusive, friendly club with a casual culture dedicated to providing a space for members to perfect their shooting ability and further their participation in shooting sports.

Membership applications

Potential members are required to submit an application for membership to the Colac Rifle Club following the completion of their three come and try shoots.  
Membership is subject to approval by the committee and no correspondence will be entered into should membership applications be denied. Members at the club should contribute to the culture, development, mentorship and success of the club and its members at all times.

Annual Membership 

New members will be required to pay a one off joining fee of $100.00 and an annual fee of $50.00 for membership to the Colac Rifle Club. 

A membership to the Victorian Rifle Association will also be required for insurance purposes. More information about the VRA can be found on their website https://www.vra.asn.au/admin/vra-membership-information#
